Now Introducing... Gracie!

Here is Gracie! Her Chinese name is Jiang Ai Wan. Birthdate is February 14, 2006, referral date is January 3, 2007! I received the call at 3:55 p.m. today from Great Wall. I couldn't think straight, but here is what I could make out of my crazy notes that I took...Gracie is from the ChongQing province, along with quite a few from our referral batch. She is currently at the Dian Jiang Social Welfare Institute. Her height is 64 cm, weight is 7.2 kg [about 15 pounds], she likes toys, is active, smiles alot, and is quite attached to her caregiver.
More info. to come on Friday, as that is the date that her package is delivered by FedEx!

I just stumbled upon your blog. Congratulations. She is beautiful. It's a small world. We live in Breaux Bridge. We definitely need to get the girls together to play sometime.

Congratulations! As soon as I saw your daughter's photo I suspected she was from Dianjiang. She's gorgeous, as are most of the girls from that area. My first daughter was adopted from there on 10/27/03 and we have asked to go back there for our second (LID 10/28/05), but who knows what will happen. The people there are wonderful. I guarantee your daughter has been loved and well cared for (and you can send a care package in advance) You should join our Dianjiang Kids yahoo group and everyone will help answer your questions. What a joyful time for you and your family. Best wishes and let me know if we can assist you. ckeoghmac@yahoo.com
Sincerely,
Carole & Sam in Connecticut
